Emergency Response Grants for small businesses and primary producers

These grants are designed to assist small businesses and primary producers with clean-up and restoration activities.
Grants are available to small businesses and primary producers in the following Local Government Areas: Break O’Day, Burnie, Central Coast, Central Highlands, Circular Head, Devonport, Dorset, Flinders, George Town, Kentish, Latrobe, Launceston, Meander Valley, Northern Midlands, Waratah-Wynyard, West Coast and West Tamar.

The Emergency Response Grants for Small Businesses and Primary Producers are jointly funded by the Commonwealth and Tasmanian governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
Private Landowner Clean-up and Restoration Grants
Private landowners that have suffered direct damage from the severe weather event on 13 and 14 October 2022 can apply for a Private Landowner Clean-up and Restoration Grant to help pay for the costs of cleaning up debris and repairing damage on their property.
Grants are available to eligible private landowners/leaseholders located in the local government areas of: Break O’Day, Burnie, Central Coast, Central Highlands, Circular Head, Devonport, Dorset, Flinders, George Town, Glamorgan-Spring Bay, Kentish, Latrobe, Launceston, Meander Valley, Northern Midlands, Waratah-Wynyard, West Coast and West Tamar.
Amount | The maximum grant amount available is $10,000. In exceptional circumstances, up to $25,000 may be made available. Refer to the grant guidelines for more information. |

Disaster Recovery Allowance
The Australian Government’s Disaster Recovery Allowance is available to people who work or live in the Local Government Areas of Break O’Day, Burnie, Central Coast, Central Highlands, Circular Head, Devonport, Dorset, Flinders, George Town, Kentish, Latrobe, Launceston, Meander Valley, Northern Midlands, Waratah-Wynyard, West Coast and West Tamar.
The Disaster Recovery Allowance is a short term payment to help people whose income has been directly affected by a major disaster and is payable for a maximum of 13 weeks.

Rural Relief Fund
The Rural Relief Fund supports farmers and rural/regional small businesses impacted by flood, drought and fire.
Grants of up to $2,500 are available for anything from household goods, including food or utility bills, to fence repairs and fodder.

Aurora assistance for customers
Aurora Energy has expanded its Customer Support Fund to help anyone experiencing financial vulnerability from the floods with things like bill relief, waiving fees and charges, freezing debts, payment plans and more.
Aurora also has a range of flexible payment options and tailored support available through their Your Energy Support (YES) program.
